SETTING HEARINGS

Hearings should be scheduled within 90 days – anything outside 90 days must be approved by the judge.

All counsel and/or pro se parties must be on the line when scheduling.

Temporary hearings are scheduled for no longer than 30 minutes (family law cases).

Any hearing requiring more than 30 minutes must first go to mediation or, the requesting party must submit a motion specifically detailing the need for additional time accompanied by a proposed order granting/denying same.

Case Management Conferences are scheduled for 30 minutes. Attorneys and pro se parties are required to attend in person. No telephonic appearances are allowed.

Cancellations/Continuances - Once a case has been set on the calendar, it cannot be cancelled or continued without a motion and order provided. After reading the Motion (which must be specific as to why), the judge will make a decision.
MOTION FOR SUMMARY JUDGMENT HEARINGS

The original Note and Mortgage must be filed with the clerk before the case is set for an MSJ hearing.

All counsel must appear in person, or have local counsel at the hearings.

Notice of Hearings must state both Central and Eastern times
