All persons, excluding those wearing photo identification badges issued by the courts and on duty police officers, will be screened and/or searched upon entering the Okaloosa County Courthouse in Crestview and the Okaloosa County Courthouse Annex in Shalimar.  A person with an Automatic Electronic Defibrillator (AED) or Pacemaker implant may request a private screening or hand wand screening.  Vendors must be escorted by the company or office requesting their service. All packages from shipping companies will be screened.  Any and all weaponry (excluding on duty police officers and judges) are prohibited. This list will consist of but not be limited to: firearms, swords, knives of any kind, razors, pepper spray, etc. Obvious weapons are strictly prohibited whereas possible simulated weaponry is at the discretion of the screener.  Any prohibited item that crosses the screening threshold will be confiscated and destroyed under the authority of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
